Peter Wurzer, Tax Advisor, studied Tax Law at the Erasmus University in Rotterdam. In 2008, he also compeleted a post graduate LLM course in taxation of real estate at the same University. For over more than 15 years he worked as tax advisor for several reputable Dutch law and accounting firms, where he gained extensive experience in international as well as domestic taxation. Peter has worked for large multinational clients as well as (international) high net worth families and expatriates. Peter has a deep knowledge of Dutch and international tax law as well as tax accounting. Next to be fluent in English, he has a good working knowledge of German. Peter also teaches on international taxation for SDU Licent Academy, and is the author of a number of articles on international taxation. He is a member of the Dutch Association of Tax Advisors (NOB) and the International Fiscal Association (IFA).
She worked for more than two years as a legal advisor at the offices of a private enforcement agent, where she led approximately 900 cases. Zoya also worked as an intern at a law firm in Rotterdam. She is a member of the International Association of Young Lawyers (AIJA). She has more than five years of relevant professional experience. Currently, Zoya is an MBA Candidate at the University of Amsterdam.
Duy Nguyen is practicing international tax law since 2007. Duy is a specialist in international VAT matters. Before joining Strik in 2019 Duy worked at Deloitte, PwC, EY and the Dutch Tax Authorities. Duy has experience in all kinds of tax law matters including litigation, set-up of international business models, tax rulings, ERP-systems implementations and general tax management. Duy is a subject matter expert in the field of e-commerce, digital economy, technology and telecommunications. Further, Duy has hard-nosed experience in the consumer products and retail sector regards their European and their e-commerce operations. Also Duy has extended experience in the cross border energy trading business, advising for more than 10 years energy traders with global operations.
Duy is client centric and practical taking into the equation the business and organizational drivers of the client. Duy graduated from the Tilburg University in 2007 (Master Taxation; Bachelor Taxation; Propaedeutic diploma Economics). Duy also finished his post-doc tax law education at the Dutch Order of Tax Advisers (NOB) in 2010.
Natalia Esselink, Legal Advisor at the CIS desk, is a Russian-qualified lawyer who also holds an LLM degree from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. Prior to joining Strik, Natalia worked as a legal counsel for a HNWI family office and as an assistant corporate secretary for a Fortune 500 company in the Netherlands. She is also a qualified English to Russian translator, and worked for a number of international law firms in Moscow and London, including Allen & Overy, Hogan Lovells and Steptoe & Johnson.
